MONTHLY MEETING – TUESDAY 10/18/2016

Please note that to accommodate Yom Kippur, our monthly meeting will be held on the third Tuesday of the month, not the second. That’s October 18th, not October 11th.

The meeting, as always, will take place at the Theater Center at 210 West 50th Street, beginning at 5pm and running until 6pm.

CASTING FOR OFF BROADWAY: FROM DEVELOPMENT TO OPENING

The seminar will discuss the process of casting a show from the early development stage of workshops and readings up to production in the Off Broadway arena. It will feature director Thomas Caruso (Southern Comfort at the Public, Associate Director of Matilda and director of the National Tour) and casting directors Michael Cassara (Spamilton, Gigantic, Forbidden Broadway, I Love Lucy Live on Stage), Paul Hardt (Red Bull Theater, The Bodyguard, Josephine, Chasing Rainbows), Cindi Rush (Promising, Ruthless, Disenchanted, Drop Dead Perfect, Silence!, Urinetown). Hugh Hysell, producer of Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, will moderate the discussion based on questions submitted by attendees.
